"Tell Me About Your Mother (or Father)"

The Alphabet of the Astrologer is the basic astrological glyphs or symbols of the 
Planets and the twelve Zodiac Signs. An experienced Astrologer is able to read 
this language as displayed in your Natal chart. This branch of Astrology is called 
Natal or Genethliacal astrology, the study of individuals via their natal chart. 
The natal chart is the configuration of the Planets at a moment in time and at a 
certain place on this planet Earth (Longitude and Latitude). The Lights, the Sun 
is a star and the Moon is a satellite, are often just lumped together with the 
Planets in the jargon of astrology. The main Planets concerning romance, marriage, 
or relationships are the Sun, Moon, Venus and Mars. Other Planets will be a factor 
if they rule the 5th or 7th houses or are found occupying either of these houses.

Everyone usually knows their "Sign" of their Sun. But anyone who has successfully 
made it past fourth grade also knows that approximately one twelfth of the earth’s 
population will not have the same events happen on any one day. How the

in a future essay.

The basic nature of the Sun or the Moon is modified by the Sign it occupies at 
birth. Each of the twelve Signs of the Zodiac have a "ruler" and since the 
discovery of the three outer planets a few signs have two "rulers" When the Sun 
or Moon is in a sign, think of it as being very similar to the Sun or Moon being 
in conjunction with the ruler of that sign. For example, The Sun or Moon in Aries 
is similar to the same condition of the Sun or Moon conjunct Mars. The Sun or the 
Moon takes on the coloring of the martial nature of Mars; the same effect is true 
of Mars and Venus. Some Signs are hospitable and some not so comfortable with the 
basic energy expressed by a Planet.

The Sign and House placement of Sun and Mars in a female chart will tell me about 
the men in her life; father, husbands, brothers (more in third house), and sons 
(more in fifth house). The Sign and House placement and the aspects of the Sun 
and Mars in a female chart will tell me volumes about the type of man her father 
was and the type of man she is attracted to consciously or unconsciously. It is 
almost like a woman is programmed to marry a younger version of her father. That 
is why the lady who hade an alcoholic father often marries an alcoholic husband. 
Only she thinks that this time she will get it right and change him and have the 
desired peace that was missing in her home as a child. The same holds true for 
one who had a father who physically abused her or her mother. Sadly, it is almost 
like she believes that is the proper behavior of all "real men"! So unless she is 
exposed to some effective counselling and/or education, she may get rid of one 
abuser or alcoholic and just trade him in for another - different face but same 
problem. The problem will keep coming to you until you consciously recognize the 
dynamics at play and your part in creating it. You will meet the same scenario 
over and over until the light bulb goes off over your head, as in enlightenment!

If the person’s Mars and Sun are in good aspect to each other, they will benefit 
from the men in their lives and will have an abundance of physical energy and 
good health. They are at home with their animus (male energy). This energy most 
often will benefit themselves and others if there are no other harsh aspects to 
the Sun and Mars from other Planets.

The placement and aspects of the Moon and Venus in a man’s chart will tell you 
about the women he is attracted to. Most importantly, it will tell you of the 
relationship the man had with his own mother. If a man hated his mother, he will 
make every woman’s life miserable who crosses his path as an adult. That is why 
when you are dating a new man, ask him to tell you about his mother. And if you 
are a man, ask your new found female friend to tell you about her father.

The Ascendant moves one degree approximately every 4 minutes. It is the fastest 
moving point in the chart. The Moon is the fastest planet moving approximately 
one degree in the Zodiac every 2 hours. That is why the correct time of birth is 
very important. A Moon that is well aspected to the Sun and in a compatible sign 
will indicate a healthy attitude and respect for the female. He is at home with 
his anima (female energy). It also indicates the native was greatly desired by 
the parents at birth. It is also a marker of good health in life.

Since Venus is a planet inside the orbit of Earth, it can only form a conjunction, 
semi-sextile (30 degrees), or semi-square (45 degrees) aspect with the Sun. 
Venus’s aspect relationship with the Moon and the other planets are more telling 
concerning the love life in a man’s chart. When it is well aspected to the other 
planets, especially to Mars. There will be happiness. If Venus is square 
(90 degrees) to the Moon, the women in his life, mother, wife and daughters will 
not be very found of the domestic life. They won’t be big on rattling those pots 
and pans! They will prefer you make reservations for dinner. The home may be a 
bit messy too. As Roseanne said, "She will run the vacuum when they make one she 
can ride like a lawnmower". If clean is your thing, get a lady with her Moon in 
Virgo!
